FHFA Announces $301 Million for Housing Trust Fund and Capital Magnet Fund, a 45% decrease from last year
FHFA announced that the Housing Trust Fund and Capital Magnet Fund will receive approximately $301 million for affordable housing initiatives from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (the Enterprises). This is a 45 percent decrease from last year’s $545 million allocation.
HUD and VA Award $14 Million to Help Homeless Veterans Find Permanent Housing
In an effort to help homeless veterans and their families find permanent housing, The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) awarded $14 million in HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) vouchers to 66 Public Housing Agencies (PHAs) across the country for over 1,400 vouchers.
