From Affordable Housing Finance

The Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act (AHCIA) has been reintroduced in the U.S. House, now boasting unprecedented bipartisan support—more than double what we had in the previous Congress. With 119 original cosponsors, the AHCIA represents over a quarter of the House and nearly 40 states, including key leadership members and two-thirds of the Republican members on the House Ways and Means Committee. The lead sponsors—Reps. Darin LaHood, Suzan DelBene, Claudia Tenney, Don Beyer, Randy Feenstra, and Jimmy Panetta—span a diverse range from rural Iowa to Seattle, reflecting a broad coalition in support of this vital legislation.
